In the afternoon departure to Erice, enchanting medieval village on top of the S.Giuliano Mountain at 800 meters of height. Visit of the town. In the late afternoon transfer to Selinunte. Overnight and dinner. 3rd day: Sunday (B)* Selinunte/Agrigento/San Michele di Ganzaria After breakfast, visit of the archaeological site of Selinunte. Possibility of an optional mini-tour by electric car (golf carts) inside the archaeological park. Transfer to Agrigento to visit the famous Valley of the temples. Proceed to San Michele di Ganzaria and overnight there. 4th day: Monday (B)* San Michele di Ganzaria/Piazza Armerina/Taormina Breakfast at the hotel and departure to Piazza Armerina for the visit of the Roman "Villa del Casale", with its 3.500 square metres of mosaics, recognized by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site. At the end transfer to Taormina and overnight there. 5th day: Tuesday (B)* Taormina/Etna/Taormina After breakfast, departure to the Etna. Optional excursion up to 2,500 meters by cable way. With its 135 km. perimeter and height of 3,340 meters above sea level, Mt. Etna is the result of a multitude of geological events which have taken place over the course of thousands years.
